These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cards AI mobile application (“the App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Cards AI is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to identify trading cards from photos and retrieve real-time market pricing data from public sources including eBay sold listings and TCGplayer. The App provides estimated market values for informational purposes only.
2. Subscriptions & Billing
Cards AI requires a paid subscription to use. Two plans are available: Annual ($39.99/year) and Weekly ($8.99/week). Both plans include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings in the Settings app on your device.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policies.
3. Pricing Data Disclaimer
Market values displayed in the App are estimates based on recently completed sales data scraped from public marketplaces. These values are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice, appraisals, or guarantees of a card’s actual worth. Prices fluctuate based on market conditions, card condition, buyer demand, and many other factors. Cards AI is not responsible for buying, selling, or trading decisions made based on data provided by the App.
4. AI Identification Accuracy
Card identification is performed by an AI model and may not always be accurate. Misidentifications can occur due to image quality, lighting, card condition, or model limitations. Always verify the identified card name matches the card you scanned before relying on the pricing data. Cards AI is not liable for errors in identification or pricing.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of scanning and pricing trading cards. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App; use automated systems to make excessive API calls; resell or redistribute data obtained through the App; or use the App for any illegal purpose.
6. Intellectual Property
The Cards AI name, logo, design, and code are the intellectual property of Cards AI. Trading card images, player names, team names, and related intellectual property belong to their respective owners (Topps, Panini, The Pokémon Company, Wizards of the Coast, Konami, etc.). Cards AI does not claim ownership of any trading card intellectual property.
7. Limitation of Liability
Cards AI is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cards AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.
8. Service Availability
We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Third-party services (eBay, TCGplayer, Google Gemini) may experience downtime or change their data availability, which may temporarily affect the App’s functionality. We are not liable for disruptions caused by third-party service changes.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the App.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and canceling your subscription through your Apple ID settings.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
